Moldova updates

The blog is where you are able to find out about what's going on with our team over in Moldova. I will be updating the blog each day with a few stories, pictures and prayer points from the team themselves. 

 On Friday night the group met with the other churches in Bicester before flying to Chisinau (capital city of Moldova) on Saturday morning. They travel went smoothly and all arrived Safely. They had a good meal upon arrival and slept in relatively luxurious conditions (bunkbeds). On Sunday morning they had a small service with the group they have gone too and had a crash course on Moldovan culture. They then took a trip out to view the surrounding area. On Monday they are heading out to a local village where they will be based. They will be delivering food parcels to families and running holiday club style activities for local young people.

 Prayer points:
Please pray for the children activities they are running, and that the language barrier doesn't become an issue for them

Please pray for our teams spiritual development as they learn more about their relationship with God

 And please pray for the relationships created between the Moldovan people and the team that are out there. We pray that it can be a two way relationship where both sides learn and develop a growing faith.

Coming up this week...  Apparently, this blog was read by 21 people in Russia last week, so to all our Russian friends,  spasibo! Here is what is happening in the coming week...  Cell Groups  Because it is the last week of term, most cell groups will be having a social, except for; Year 9 and Year 10 cell who are playing catch up and having a session on 'how to be a good friend'. Coming up next week...  You might notice something different about the blog this week, it may be less funny but there will be fewer spelling and grammatical errors as it has been written by somebody who knows how to write. That's right people........Dobbo has arrived! (Don't all cheer at once) Cell Groups  Cell groups are returning this week after a refreshing half term. Years 7, 8, 9, 10,11 and 13 will be doing a session on drugs and alcohol. Year 12 will be doing a brief recap on their alcohol session and then focussing on drugs.   Friday Pathfinders (younger) This week (2nd June) there is no pathfinders due to half term. BOOOOOOOOOO! Next week (9th June) it is obstacle course night. Be prepared to jump, spin and run round our unique obstacle course. Coming up this week...  This is the first blog of 2017! Just before the first proper week of our youth work in 2017. Happy New Year!! I hope everyone had a brilliant Christmas!  Cell Groups  Cell  groups start back next Monday (9th Jan) with most cells having a social, but cell groups in year 12+ looking at 'spiritual disciplines'. Thank you to everyone who helped out with setting up (and washing up!!) for the cell  social  and to everyone came along.
