Coming up next week...  Another blog...and I am being honest, I am all out of funny lines so just read on and find out what's going on this week! I apologise for the lack of pictures, crazy day today, double pictures next week! Special events There are no more special events happening this week, thank you to everybody who has supported the church meal and the board game after, it was lovely to see everybody having fun as a church family. Thank you for your generous donations towards our trip away, we will update everybody on how the trip goes accordingly.  Cell Groups Cell groups are continuing this week, All Cells  - will be preparing their part for the Cell Celebration on 9th (year 7 on Tuesday)  Cell Celebration The cell celebration is on February the 9th. The theme of the cell celebration is patience. Here is what each cell will be focussing on: Year 7 - Refreshments and welcome Year 8 - Prayer station Year 9 - Talk  Year 10 - Prayer station Y

Coming up next week...  New blog for the week, same groups happening at their normal time. Take note of the weekend away section below, it is almost closing time for bookings, as we need to let the venue and our wonderful cooking team know how many are coming, so if you haven't booked on, please do so!  Special events You may or may not know that some of us from the youth are taking part in a mission trip to Moldova during February half term. As part of our fundraising efforts we are putting on another fundraising event:   On  Sunday 26th Jan  we are having a social lunch at  St. Leonard's Church.  There will be games/entertainment for children, chilli to eat and generally a good time to be had.  We will start straight after church (about 12 noon)  and will finish at around 3pm.  These are just a few photos from the Board Games Cafe last week (thank you to everyone who came):  Cell Groups Cell groups are continuing this week, All Cells  - will be

Coming up next week...  Hello, hello. Just a short and sweet blog this week as I feel you may have been bombarded with all our blogs recently. All our cell groups have now met back for their first session and it's not long till our cell celebration. Friday Pathfinders is back today and for those of you who like a good board game, why not come to the church hall at 4pm on Sunday (19th) for a Board Games Café.  Special events You may or may not know that some of us from the youth are taking part in a mission trip to Moldova during February half term. As part of our fundraising efforts we are putting on a couple of events;  The first is a Board Games Café on Sunday 19th Jan 4-7pm in St. Leonard's church hall.  Tickets for entry are £3.50, there will be tea, coffee, cakes and of course loads and loads of board games for you to play!  Then on  Sunday 26th Jan we are having a social lunch at St. Leonard's Church. UPDATE -  Friday Pathfinders (17th Jan) is going to be a joint session to decide which group is best, younger or older. Come along to see if youth beats experience in many classic pathfinder games. Having had a week of planning and meetings with various leadership teams and the Youth Steering Group we are now ready to start 2020 as we mean to go on.  Cell Groups All cell groups are starting back this week and appropriately enough we are exploring the theme of patience.  Year 7 - 9 Cell  - will be starting with a social, same time and same places as last year. Coming up next week...  Hello everyone, Happy New Year! It's Olly here with a slightly off theme blog post this week...  As you may or may not know already, my wife Jo and I welcomed our beautiful son Edward Joel Shaw (Eddie to his friends) on 5th December 2019. All went well with the birth and we were getting into the swing of things being a 4 and then Jo got appendicitis! We went back into hospital and had a very stressful week while Jo was waiting for a surgery slot to become free (there was bit more to it but I don't want to put too much information in here for anyone who doesn't really want to know!!).  Having an appendicostomy so soon after giving birth is not only tiring and stressful, but it also means that Jo can't do any strenuous activity for another 4 weeks, which includes lifting our 2 and a half year old.  Anyway, all this is just me explaining that the run up to Christmas did not go exactly to plan and as such, we have decided to postpone the s
