Feb 23rd - 2nd March

Coming up next week...
I hope everyone has had a brilliant week back after half term. Cell groups have been back in full flow and Friday Pathfinders starts back tonight with some good old fashioned japan based fun for the elderly (read below to find out more).

Cell Groups
Next week in cell groups:

Year 7-11 cells will be looking at the question, 'is the bible sexist'? Come prepared for a good discussion.

Year 12-13 cells will be carrying on with our course on evangelism, remember to watch those videos... ideally you will have watched at least 3 by next week. You can find the videos here.

Reminder: Year 10 Cell will be meeting on Wednesday (28th Feb) next week at 8.15pm - 9.30pm.

Friday Pathfinders (Younger)
Tonight (23rd Feb) its Japan night. After the success of Canada night we have been scouring the globe for other countries to inspire a night of games and ridiculousness and something about Japan just really hit the mark. Come ready to try out something new and learn a whole host of new words in the process.

Next week (2nd March) will be 'Thirsty Meeples' night. Its a lot like cafĂ© night but with more board games!

Friday Pathfinders (Older)
Tonight (23rd Feb) true to the 'older' name we are having an old people night. There will be humbugs, tea and rich tea biscuits as well as a spot of gardening (amongst other things). Paddy Hogan, I'm sad to say you may be missing out again on your longed for exercise regime.

Next week (2nd March) will be our much anticipated annual murder mystery night. Keep an eye out for a message from Jake McCobb with your part to play and if you haven't received one soon, make sure he knows you want to play!

Sunday Pathfinders
Sunday (25th Feb) pathfinders will be being lead by Olly and Ruth and will be all about Jesus' Mission (queue mission impossible theme tune).

CYFA
There is no CYFA next week

Bishops Youth Forum

As you will hopefully be aware, the Bishop of Oxford is have a youth forum tomorrow (Saturday 24th Feb) to share his vision for our area and to hear back from young people what the wider church can do better to support them. Plus there is a free lunch!

Never being ones to pass up that kind of opportunity, a group about 20 of us are getting the bus into Oxford to go and take part. Take a look at this letter to remind yourself of the info. If you haven't heard about this and would like to tag along, please get in touch ASAP.

*Disclaimer, the burgers we receive may not actually be this size.

February 9th - 16th

Coming up next week...
Half term is nearly upon us! This week the younger pathfinders test themselves against the challenging church hall edition of 'Takeshi's castle' and battle to win exciting related prizes with some interesting themed snacks. The older pathfinders have some activities more suited to their mental age with an evening of primary school games. It will be a great night to experience a throwback! Have a read and find out more!

Cell Groups
Well done to everyone who contributed to the Cell Celebration on Sunday and thank you to everyone who came!

Next week cell will not be taking place due to it being half term! So have a good holiday and see you the week after!

Friday Pathfinders (Younger)
Tonight (9th Feb) we are testing the younger pathfinders strength, endurance and team work, oh, and of course, their ability to withstand being pelted with ping pong balls. This will be tested by taking on the takeshi's castle obstacle course which, by the previous comment, you can tell is going to be 100% accurate to the tv edition...

Next week (16th Feb) there will be no younger pathfinders due to it being half term!

Friday Pathfinders (Older)
Tonight (9th Feb) we sent the older pathfinders back to their younger years with an evening of primary school games. This means lots of energy, lots of mess, and lots of action, we can only hope none of it ends in tears... So nothing out of the norm really!

There will be no older pathfinders next week (16th Feb) either due to half term!

Sunday Pathfinders
Sunday pathfinders this week (11th Feb) is being led by Jennifer and Angela and will be an opportunity to learn about lent.

CYFA
CYFA is not on this week!

Friday Pathfinders (Younger)
Tonight (2nd Feb) we are having our cafe night. As I'm sure you'll notice, there are no similarities between the cool "b-ball outside of school" claim, and what actually happened - the disturbing reality is photographed below - but we hope you enjoy it nonetheless. Cafe night means extra special treats as well as glorious make overs and some board games, as well as other chilled out activities! Remember to bring extra money to buy food!

Arrive ready to shout as I'm sure, as usual, the game will get out of hand! It will be nice to see you, to see you... Nice!

Finception!

Next week (9th Feb) will be primary school games week, as much as I'm sure it is the norm anyway, I still encourage you to arrive in that primary school state of mind!

Sunday Pathfinders
Sunday (4th Feb) pathfinders will be based on worry and will be led by Simon and Jake.
