Coming up next week...  September is nearly over. October is looming its chilly yet jolly head. Here is what is in store for St. Leonard's Youth this week...  Cell Groups  Last week Year 7-11 Cell groups look at what it actually means to be a Christian. Year 12-13 Cell groups looked at Baptism and Confirmation. Here is what cells will be doing this week:   Year 7 - 11 Cells:   We will be looking Baptism and Confirmation. What it is and why do we do it?  Year 12 - 13 Cells:  We will be looking at The Creed. Have you ever really thought about 'the creed' that gets said in churches? Do we really believe everything that is said? What does it all actually mean? Find out next week in another exciting addition of cell groups...  Timing reminder:  Year 10 Cell . It is Week B, so Year 10 Cell will be meeting on Thursday (28th Sep) next week at 7.15pm. Finishing at 8.30pm.  Friday Pathfinders (younger) Tonight (22nd Sep) its Music night (and the feel

Coming up next week...  We are just at the end of our first full week back in full swing things and it feels good to be back! Here is some information you might need to know... Cell Groups  Cell groups all started back with a social and a bit of a catch up. We've had some new leaders join the team which has been brilliant. Here is what cells will be doing this week:   Year 7 - 11 Cells:  We will be looking at what it actually means to be a Christian. Are we following Christ? Are we following Ian? All these mysteries and more should be sorted out by the end of this cell session.  Year 12 - 13 Cells: We will be looking at Baptism and Confirmation. Ever wondered what baptism and confirmation are actually about and why we do them? Wonder no more. Just come to cell!  Both topics are very Christian sounding, but since we are a church youth group, I think we can probably get away with it...  Timing reminders:  Year 10 Cell . It is Week B, so Year 10 Cell will be m

First blog of the year...

Coming up next week...  Here is the first blog of the year. This week has been mostly filled with leaders meetings for all of our groups, but next week everything starts back properly. Here is some information you might need to know... Cell Groups  Cell groups will be starting back next week (W/B 11th Sept). Most groups will be meeting at the same times and the same places as before the summer, but, just to keep it interesting, there are 2 exceptions:  Year 8 (was year 7) Cell is now moving from being on Monday nights at 7.15pm to being on Thursday nights at 7.30pm. Still at the Ferrier's house.  Year 10 (was year 9) Cell is moving days and locations. Its much more complicated but since you're   so old and wise, you should be able to handle it. Instead of our old slot of 3.15pm on Mondays, we are now going to alternate between Wednesday nights at 8.15pm and Thursday nights at 7.15pm (think of it like weeks A and B at school if that helps). So starting next week, we
