5th - 12th October

Coming up next week...
We are back again for another thrilling instalment of Blogginess. Sit back relax and enjoy 3-4minutes of informative yet surprisingly enjoyable reading (and please forgive the typos). This week we have go lots of fun things coming up so have read below and make sure you don't miss out...

Cell Groups
Sunday 14th October is our  Cell Celebration!! Next week all cell groups will be finalising their plans for the service and making sure everything is ready. The theme of the service will be 'Inclusion'. Remember that if your cell is doing prayer stations, you need to have your bit of the station ready for your next cell meeting so that people in cell can have a go and make sure it works...

Year 7 Cell: will be planning the refreshments and welcome.
Year 8 Cell: will be preparing our welcome game!
Year 9 Cell: will be preparing 2 of our prayer stations.
Year 10 Cell:will be planning our response time and welcome (that's not a typo, there really are two cells focusing on how we welcome people. I figure in a service about inclusion we ought to be fairly welcoming)
Year 11 Cell: will be preparing 2 of our prayer stations.
Year 12 Cell: will be preparing 2 of our prayer stations.
Year 13 Cell: will be preparing the talk.

If you don't know what a cell celebration is and you didn't read it in the blog last week here is an explanation of what they are like:

Our cell celebrations are an evening service, starting at 6.00pm run by the members of our cell groups. We usually start with refreshments and a time to chat and the sitting down bit of the service kicks off at about 6.15pm. Each of the cell groups prepare a specific part of what is an informal and relaxed evening service. This includes, games, prayer stations, refreshments and response times. The service is run by the members of our cell groups and as such feels very 'cell groupey' (which is a good thing!) but it is open to anyone who wants to come, old or young, member of a cell group or not. If you have never been to one before, why not try it out on the 14th?

Younger Friday Pathfinders
Tonight (5th October) It's Bake of Night... we have our own Mary Berry (sorry Pru, but its Mary who still has our heart) and we will be doing our own blind judging and completing our very own technical challenge. You bring your apron and your favourite baking implement and we will provide the rest.

Older Friday Pathfinders
Tonight (5th October) it Movie and Takeaway night. Please can everyone bring their favourite DVD's and enough money to buy what ever takeaway that it is you fancy having to go with your film!

Next week (12th October) it is going to be a tourism experience night! More on what that entails in next weeks blog...

Sunday Pathfinders
This Sunday (7th October) we will be looking at what it means to be 'filled with the Spirit'. It is being led by Olly and Graham.

If you have never been to one before, why not try it out on the 14th?

Year 13 Cell: will be preparing 2 of our prayer stations.

And if you haven't filled out a consent form, the link is below, do it, do it now!

Next week (28th) is a film night. You bring some films, we'll bring the popcorn (and the projector and also some films in case the films you bring are a bit rubbish or too long).

I'll have to ask your forgiveness for there being more typos than usual as well. Still not quite 100%. However, still keen that people should know what is happening in the next week, so here we go...

Younger Friday Pathfinders
Yesterday (14th Sep) was left in very capable hands and I am reliably informed they did some ice breaker games. I look forward to hearing all about it.

Next week (21st) is to be decided, so watch this space for next week...

Older Friday Pathfinders

Again a crack team jumped in yesterday to fill the void and I'm sure every had a better time than usual because of it. The group hopefully got to know each other much better and I look forward to seeing the ideas that came out of the planning session.

Next week (21st) will be entirely based on the ideas that came out yesterday so I look forward to seeing what came out and sorting it into some sort of plan for the term.

Sunday Pathfinders
Tomorrow (16th September) we will be having a session looking at what it means to live a life of love. Graham and Olly will be leading.
