Moldova updates

Final update until Olly will provide a more detailed update on how the week has been. Through the week we have had less communication due to the conditions the group have been living in. They have had a great time working with the children and young people in Moldova. 

 They have also been having some great time for prayer and individual spiritual development which has been well received by all of our team. 

 The team have had their last day today where they have been allowed a rest, and have been exploring the capital city of Chisinau. Having been myself, I know what a great city it is and it will provide an eye opening experience to our team of life in Moldova. 


Prayer Points

Please pray for the relationships that have been created within our own team.

 Please also prayer for the relationships they have created with the other church teams, especially Cogges Church from Witney. 

 Also pray for safe travel for all those involved. 

 Finally, please do pray that this experience will be valuable and that it can have a positive impact on their lives and their relationship with God

Coming up next week...  After a bit of a false start last week with the bank holiday, we are now back with a bang. There is a fair amount happening in the next few days, but mostly notice that even though there is a bank holiday... that isn't stopping us this time!!!  Cell Groups Our cell celebration is coming up on the 19th of May, so most (but not all!!)  cells will be preparing for that. Coming up next week...  You might notice something different about the blog this week, it may be less funny but there will be fewer spelling and grammatical errors as it has been written by somebody who knows how to write. That's right people........Dobbo has arrived! (Don't all cheer at once) Cell Groups  Cell groups are returning this week after a refreshing half term. Years 7, 8, 9, 10,11 and 13 will be doing a session on drugs and alcohol. Year 12 will be doing a brief recap on their alcohol session and then focussing on drugs.   Friday Pathfinders (younger) This week (2nd June) there is no pathfinders due to half term. BOOOOOOOOOO! Next week (9th June) it is obstacle course night. Be prepared to jump, spin and run round our unique obstacle course. And we are back!!!!

Wow, what a summer! Soul Survivor was, as it always is, amazing this year. If you were at St. Leonard's on the 7th September you will have heard all about it, but for those of you who weren't: We took 30 young people and 4 leaders with us this year and were joined by a group from Leicester. So all told we had group of 45. Which looked pretty good when we were all in fancy dress. But more than that, it was amazing to see how much God moved people along in their faith, simply because they set aside some time to focus on Him. What was also amazing was that a pretty incredible new brother of mine gave his life to God that week; it is has been brilliant to see what God has been doing in him since.
