Moldova updates

The blog is where you are able to find out about what's going on with our team over in Moldova. I will be updating the blog each day with a few stories, pictures and prayer points from the team themselves.

The groups sleeping arrangements are more comfortable than first thought, they all have a mattress on a floor with groups sleeping closely together. Showers have been limited to 5 minute per person and the water isn't the warmest. Apparently a comfortable toilet is one of the biggest things people miss so far.

In terms of the work the group have done, they have been out in the community working with adults and children. They have been touched by the warm welcome they have received from everybody there. Different skills are obviously required for both groups and sometimes our young people have been meeting and talking to people older than them, which is daunting without a language barrier, let alone with one.

The group have been handing out food parcels to families, often widows. They have been evangelising on the streets handing out bibles , as often bibles are treated very specially, nobody reads them as they are too precious. The group have also been doing some physical work chopping wood and helping a local church to clear out a new venue!

Tomorrow is another day of working with some of the local children!

Prayer Points

Three main prayer points at the moment.

1) As the trip continues energy levels are slowly depleting so we pray for those to be lifted
2) Some are finding it a challenge to have such levels of engagement with people, to help them and build relationships to simply leave an hour later and not know what comes from their conversations. So we pray that the team can keep that energy up for those conversations
3) During the time left for our teams spiritual development, some of our young people have been grappling with a variety of issues or uncertainties. We pray that they can make sense of what God is saying to them!

I add my own prayer point for the team that they can keep enjoying this experience and make the very most of it!
