Well, here we go again, St Leonards Youthwork is back! Hopefully you are all feeling fresh and raring to go, just like we are. This term has some exciting events coming up, with a friends theme night and a cell celebration. You will find out more about those soon, but for now, sit back, eat your chocolate and read about what's coming up this week...




Cell Groups! 
Welcome back cell groups. This week year 7, 8 and 9 are completing the cell titled "practical bible reading tips". Year 10, 11 and 12/13 cell will be learning how to disagree well. If you have forgotten your cell times, please look below.


Year 7 - Monday 7:30 - 8:45
Year 8 - Monday 7:00 - 8:30
Year 9 - Thursday 7:30 - 8:45 
Year 10 - Monday 5:30 - 7:00
Year 11 - Thursday 5:30 - 7:00
Year 12/13 - Friday 3:30 - 5:00





Younger and Older Friday Pathfinders

 This week, 26.4.19, there is no Friday Pathfinders. Your leaders are having a meeting to decide on what you will be doing all term. 

 Next week 3.5.19, Younger Pathfinders will be taking part in tournament night, whilst Older Pathfinders will be playing Quidditch and making potions in Harry Potter night.


 On the 10th May, Younger and Older Pathfinders will be joining together at Lyall and Co Cafe who are opening late for us and running Friends night. There will be arts and craft, along with drinks, cakes, ice cream and boardgames. We will also be showing some of the best friends episodes on the big screen. 

 If you want to come, you can book tickets here. 

 We get a discount on the listed price as well, so, before you book, if you let contact us we'll send you a discount code to make the price £11, which includes everything. We want everyone to be able to come, so if cost is an issue let us know and we will sort something out.

Coming up next week...  After a bit of a false start last week with the bank holiday, we are now back with a bang. There is a fair amount happening in the next few days, but mostly notice that even though there is a bank holiday... that isn't stopping us this time!!!  Cell Groups Our cell celebration is coming up on the 19th of May, so most (but not all!!)  cells will be preparing for that. Wow, what a summer! Soul Survivor was, as it always is, amazing this year. If you were at St. Leonard's on the 7th September you will have heard all about it, but for those of you who weren't: We took 30 young people and 4 leaders with us this year and were joined by a group from Leicester. So all told we had group of 45. Which looked pretty good when we were all in fancy dress. But more than that, it was amazing to see how much God moved people along in their faith, simply because they set aside some time to focus on Him. What was also amazing was that a pretty incredible new brother of mine gave his life to God that week; it is has been brilliant to see what God has been doing in him since. Coming up next week...  You might notice something different about the blog this week, it may be less funny but there will be fewer spelling and grammatical errors as it has been written by somebody who knows how to write. That's right people........Dobbo has arrived! (Don't all cheer at once) Cell Groups  Cell groups are returning this week after a refreshing half term. Years 7, 8, 9, 10,11 and 13 will be doing a session on drugs and alcohol. Year 12 will be doing a brief recap on their alcohol session and then focussing on drugs.   Friday Pathfinders (younger) This week (2nd June) there is no pathfinders due to half term. BOOOOOOOOOO! Next week (9th June) it is obstacle course night. Be prepared to jump, spin and run round our unique obstacle course.
