Given our unpredictable weather, we thought we would surprise you even further with a blog on a Wednesday! GCSEs are almost over and A levels are winding up. Well done you guys who have been working so hard. We have been praying for all you exams goers here at St. Leonard's Youth, and remember, your academic performance does not define who you are! 


Cell Groups
Next week, all cell groups will be completing a plan called Mission Academy. This is the second of two plans you will do from the mission academy (Hopefully the first on went well!). Year 11 and 13 will be the exception. Year 11 will be having a social and prayer time and year 13 will be covering a nice distracting controversial issue (non school related). 

Year 7 - Monday 7:30 - 8:45
Year 8 - Monday 7:00 - 8:30
Year 9 - Thursday 7:30 - 8:45
Year 10 - Monday 5:30 - 7:00
Year 11 - Wednesday 6:30 - 7:45
Year 12/13 - Friday 3:30 - 5:00

Younger Friday Pathfinders
Pathfinders this week (14th June) is a joint session of Older vs. Younger. Come ready to defeat the oldies and a battle of wits and stamina. 

 This week you should also be getting letters out for our end of term Aqua Park park trip!! If you really can't wait that long... feel free to down load it here

 Having had session together with the older ones this week, next week we will be dividing up again. The theme of next weeks Friday Pathfinders (21st June) is Winter Night. When we planned this session it was supposed to be ironic, but c'est la météo (now this blog can count as french revision fyi).

Older Friday Pathfinders
This Friday, 14th June, we are meeting up at the same time as the Younger Pathfinders (6.30pm - 7.45pm) to have a Younger vs. Older Night, its the battle of the ages, who will come out on top? Does experience beat youth? Find out on Friday. We will also stay a bit afterwards for some time to unwind after running around after all those youngsters.

Sunday Pathfinders
Sunday Pathfinders is on this Sunday and it is being led by Olly and Ruth. The topic is God in our weakness.

CYFA
CYFA is on this week and is being led by Claire and Nick. We will be looking at the final 2 chapters of Mark (it only took us a year)!!

Coming up next week...  After a bit of a false start last week with the bank holiday, we are now back with a bang. There is a fair amount happening in the next few days, but mostly notice that even though there is a bank holiday... that isn't stopping us this time!!!  Cell Groups Our cell celebration is coming up on the 19th of May, so most (but not all!!)  cells will be preparing for that. Wow, what a summer! Soul Survivor was, as it always is, amazing this year. If you were at St. Leonard's on the 7th September you will have heard all about it, but for those of you who weren't: We took 30 young people and 4 leaders with us this year and were joined by a group from Leicester. So all told we had group of 45. Which looked pretty good when we were all in fancy dress. But more than that, it was amazing to see how much God moved people along in their faith, simply because they set aside some time to focus on Him. What was also amazing was that a pretty incredible new brother of mine gave his life to God that week; it is has been brilliant to see what God has been doing in him since. Coming up next week...  You might notice something different about the blog this week, it may be less funny but there will be fewer spelling and grammatical errors as it has been written by somebody who knows how to write. That's right people........Dobbo has arrived! (Don't all cheer at once) Cell Groups  Cell groups are returning this week after a refreshing half term. Years 7, 8, 9, 10,11 and 13 will be doing a session on drugs and alcohol. Year 12 will be doing a brief recap on their alcohol session and then focussing on drugs.   Friday Pathfinders (younger) This week (2nd June) there is no pathfinders due to half term. BOOOOOOOOOO! Next week (9th June) it is obstacle course night. Be prepared to jump, spin and run round our unique obstacle course.
