Coming up next week... 
Hello, it's been an amazing week having a superb work experience placement known as the one and only Hazzy (this is the last time I let Hazzy contribute to the blog). Next week is half term so the youth work is taking a break. Relax and enjoy the half term, below are some things you need to know: 




Cell Groups  
Because of half term there will be no Cell groups meeting next week, but they all start back again the week beginning 4th June. 


Friday Pathfinders (Younger) 
Tonight (25th May) is summer themed with a cheeky bit of Aunt Sally with a side of limbo and high jump. There will be no pathfinders next week so we can all sit at home and watch Netflix under a blanket eating ice cream and look forward to it all starting again after half term.



Friday Pathfinders (Older)
We have to apologise that there will be no court night tonight (25th May) because Josh and Aidan have not quite put the finishing touches on their masterpiece of planning. Instead it will be farm night and we will be playing all sorts of farm themed games so come with a straw hat and a yeehawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.  



Sunday Pathfinders 
Sundaya Pathfinders is on this week (27th May) it is on Ephesians 2:11-22 and is being led by Olly and Graham. 

CYFA
There is no CYFA this week but we will be back next week! 

Sad Soul Survivor Statement
Yesterday we had a Soul Survivor fundraising meeting here is a summary of what you need to know: 

  • Much more fundraising needs to take place so please think of different ideas on how to make money and organise it before contacting Olly.
  • Payment of £30 for people who want onesies this year needs to be given to Olly by the 10th June so an order can be placed. If people are able to raise enough funds to cover the cost of their onesie then the money will be refunded to them. 
  • Payment of £18 for our personalised jumpers needs to be made by 10th June as well. Again, like with the onesies, anyone who is able to raise enough money to cover the cost of their trip and their jumper will have this money refunded to them. 


On another note, today Soul Survivor made a sad announcement, Soul Survivor 2019 will be their final festival. They feel God has spoken and it is time for them set the festival aside. So let's make these next two years the best yet and pray for a bigger and brighter future.

Coming up next week...  After a bit of a false start last week with the bank holiday, we are now back with a bang. There is a fair amount happening in the next few days, but mostly notice that even though there is a bank holiday... that isn't stopping us this time!!!  Cell Groups Our cell celebration is coming up on the 19th of May, so most (but not all!!)  cells will be preparing for that. Wow, what a summer! Soul Survivor was, as it always is, amazing this year. If you were at St. Leonard's on the 7th September you will have heard all about it, but for those of you who weren't: We took 30 young people and 4 leaders with us this year and were joined by a group from Leicester. So all told we had group of 45. Which looked pretty good when we were all in fancy dress. But more than that, it was amazing to see how much God moved people along in their faith, simply because they set aside some time to focus on Him. What was also amazing was that a pretty incredible new brother of mine gave his life to God that week; it is has been brilliant to see what God has been doing in him since. Coming up next week...  You might notice something different about the blog this week, it may be less funny but there will be fewer spelling and grammatical errors as it has been written by somebody who knows how to write. That's right people........Dobbo has arrived! (Don't all cheer at once) Cell Groups  Cell groups are returning this week after a refreshing half term. Years 7, 8, 9, 10,11 and 13 will be doing a session on drugs and alcohol. Year 12 will be doing a brief recap on their alcohol session and then focussing on drugs.   Friday Pathfinders (younger) This week (2nd June) there is no pathfinders due to half term. BOOOOOOOOOO! Next week (9th June) it is obstacle course night. Be prepared to jump, spin and run round our unique obstacle course.
