St. Leonard's Youth Work Update

Coming up this week... Sorry for the lateness of this weeks blog I was quite tired yesterday after getting home at 2:30am! This Sunday there is a baptism service in Long Hanborough involving some of our young people. It would be great for people to go and support them. Team Sweden! Friday Pathfinders Pathfinders is on this week as usual. The following week is the last one of term and we will be having our usual water fight and BBQ at the Pavillion. Teaching them a classic Pathfinders game! Cell Groups Cell groups are back on this week for the penultimate session of the year. We will be having our usual end of year BBQ on 16th July - details will be coming soon. Small group discussions Sunday Pathfinders/ CYFA Sunday Pathfinders and CYFA are not on this week but on 12th July we are going on a trip to Oxford to visit Christ Church Cathedral and have a picnic lunch and some games. Coming up this week... I am away this week in Sweden leaving at 3 O Clock tomorrow morning! Most groups will be running as usual... Aidan getting dunked! Friday Pathfinders This week Sarah (who did the internship with me last year) is back running Pathfinders!  Soul Survivor Thanks to everyone who came to the quiz it was a great evening (made better by my team winning!) Our next fundraiser is not for a couple of weeks when we will be helping at the Carnival. The Winning Team! Cell Groups Most Cell groups are on this week. Unfortunately the year 8 and 9 Cell groups have been cancelled as their leaders are in Sweden. They will be back on next week as usual! I have no idea what is going on in this photo! Sunday Pathfinders/ CYFA Jennifer and Simon are leading Sunday Pathfinders on 'The Cost of Following God' - CYFA isn't on this week.

Coming up this week... This Sunday (21st) Aidan is getting baptised at the Mill at 1:00pm this is a great opportunity to support him and spend some time together so please come along and bring a picnic lunch! I know it's not Christmas but it was the only photo I could find of Aidan Friday Pathfinders This week instead of Pathfinders we are taking part in the Soul Survivor Quiz. This means we will be meeting at 7:15 for both older and younger and finishing at around 9:30. For more details see below Democracy in Practice Sunday Pathfinders/ CYFA If you are in year 10 or above please come along this week to the Page's at 9:00 for our CYFA breakfast before Church. Our Swedish Visitors last week Friday Pathfinders This week at younger Pathfinders we are playing Hunt the Leader round the village and at Older we will be doing some wide games! Sunday Pathfinders/ CYFA This week at Sunday Pathfinders we are going to be planning for a bit of the Sunday service the following week. There is no CYFA this week CYFA Breakfast Soul Survivor Thanks to everyone who helped at the community day on Saturday we have some more fundraising this Saturday - as part of the village folk festival we will be having a BBQ in the square on Saturday from 10-3 so please come along and buy some food from us!! Cell Groups Cell groups are all back on this week and some of you may have a special visitor (keep reading to find out more...) Friday Pathfinders This Friday is inflatables night! We have a bungee run and sumo suits and will also be having a cafe. Please remember to bring consent forms (if you haven't already given me one!) and some extra money to buy food. We will also be welcoming the year 6s to Pathfinders this week. Last Years inflatables night Sunday Pathfinders/ CYFA Sunday Pathfinders is not on this week as it is an All Age Worship but we are doing the readings in Church (volunteers should know who they are!!!) CYFA is on 9:00 breakfast at the Page's and we will be discussing Forgiveness.
