St. Leonard's Youth Work Update

Coming up next week...  Hello, just a quick blog today, this will be the last week of Youthwork before we take a short break for half term, read on to find out what's going on this week! Cell Groups Cell groups are on this week, continuing on our weekly devotionals on characters in lockdown. Most are doing Daniel and his determination! There will be no cells next week due to half term, but we will be back on the 1st of June Friday Pathfinders  Will be canceled until further notice... however both Olly and I will be available to chat or give you creative one player game ideas using the contact details below!! Genuinely do get in touch on a Friday night if you are bored... we probably will be too.  CYFA CYFA will be back on the 31st May  Sunday  Alongside the Sunday service, Olly and I have created a series of talking point videos. Coming up next week...  Helloooo, its me, I was wondering if after all this time you'd like to meet? Well right now, we can still only meet online, and I am missing seeing everybody in person. We are starting a series on people in the bible who experienced a lockdown of some sorts. Each week a  devotional  will be sent out to you which if you can, you should do before cell. Over the easter holidays we decided to continue Youthwork as we didn't want you to have absolutely nothing to do, but now you have a little bit of structure back in your timetable, we are going to be taking the next week as a break. So we will see you all in a weeks time! Coming up next week...  Hello everyone, we miss all your lovely faces, and are really looking forward to the time lockdown is over, and we can get back to normal Youthwork. We made the decision to continue our provision through the school holidays, but youth workers need a break too! So this week have groups but next week (commencing Sunday 26th April) we will be taking a week off. Read on to find out what is happening this week... Cell Groups Most cell groups are continuing this week and are still focussed on the encountering God plans.  Each call can last up to 40 minutes, so during that time we will discuss a bible passage or some questions, pray together and maybe even play a few games. Coming up next week...  As it looks like we might be heading into an extended lockdown, I must say I am getting used to working from home, but I would much prefer to be seeing everybody face to face. Coming up next week...  Well we did it. One week completed in isolation, how is everyone? I have never been more productive. I hope people are adapting well and have enjoyed the online material, if you have any ideas on what we can do, please do get in touch. We are up for trying new methods. Finally, on behalf of all our Youthwork, we would like to extend our thanks to the all the key workers, teachers, NHS staff and our politicians all working exceptionally hard to keep us safe and we pray that they can feel God's presence throughout all their work! Cell Groups Zoom worked really well this week with some cells starting proper cell plans, whilst others had a social. This next week, all the cell groups will be completing another encountering God cell plan.  Each call can last up to 40 minutes, so during that time we will discuss a bible passage or some questions, pray together and maybe even play a few games.
