Coming up next week... 
Happy New Year and welcome to 2019!! I hope every has had a great Christmas time and enjoyed what ever you were doing. Feel free to boast about any exploits, but not too much or we might get jealous. Look below for our big news of 2019 (if you haven't heard it already) and also to find out what is happening with the youth work in the coming week... 

News...
You may have heard this already, but as of the 7th January Olly Shaw (our faithful old  young, youth worker) is being seconded to the Diocese of Oxford, part time, to work as a Pioneer Deanery Youth Minister. He will be exploring ways to support rural churches in their work with young people for 15 hours a week! 

 In order to make sure sure everything still gets done, Steven Dobson has been employed to fill those 15 hours and work part time alongside Olly in heading up the youth work. 
For those of you who do not know Steven, he has been a part of St. Leonard's Youth for a very long time as a member of a Cell Group and, since graduating cell, as a trusted and reliable volunteer. 


If you have any questions or would like to know more, then please feel free to get in touch. 

Cell Groups! 
There are no cell groups next week, because all our youth leaders are getting together in the church on Monday 7th for a vision and curry evening. Normal service will resume on Monday 14th Jan when all cell groups will be starting again in their usual times and usual places.

Younger and Older Friday Pathfinders
There is no Friday Pathfinders next week (11th) as all your loving leaders are meeting up to plan next term for you (isn't that kind). But we are back the week after (18th), New Year, new fun as the old saying goes... 


Sunday Pathfinders
Sunday Pathfinders is back for another New Year. Make sure you are around for the first session to review what we have done and grill and extra special guest...


CYFA
There is no CYFA this week but we are back on the 19th Jan.

Coming up next week...  After a bit of a false start last week with the bank holiday, we are now back with a bang. There is a fair amount happening in the next few days, but mostly notice that even though there is a bank holiday... that isn't stopping us this time!!!  Cell Groups Our cell celebration is coming up on the 19th of May, so most (but not all!!)  cells will be preparing for that. Wow, what a summer! Soul Survivor was, as it always is, amazing this year. If you were at St. Leonard's on the 7th September you will have heard all about it, but for those of you who weren't: We took 30 young people and 4 leaders with us this year and were joined by a group from Leicester. So all told we had group of 45. Which looked pretty good when we were all in fancy dress. But more than that, it was amazing to see how much God moved people along in their faith, simply because they set aside some time to focus on Him. What was also amazing was that a pretty incredible new brother of mine gave his life to God that week; it is has been brilliant to see what God has been doing in him since. Coming up next week...  You might notice something different about the blog this week, it may be less funny but there will be fewer spelling and grammatical errors as it has been written by somebody who knows how to write. That's right people........Dobbo has arrived! (Don't all cheer at once) Cell Groups  Cell groups are returning this week after a refreshing half term. Years 7, 8, 9, 10,11 and 13 will be doing a session on drugs and alcohol. Year 12 will be doing a brief recap on their alcohol session and then focussing on drugs.   Friday Pathfinders (younger) This week (2nd June) there is no pathfinders due to half term. BOOOOOOOOOO! Next week (9th June) it is obstacle course night. Be prepared to jump, spin and run round our unique obstacle course.
