Coming up this week... 

Apologies that there was no update blog for the past 2 weeks. All in all it has been an amazing 2 weeks. If you don't know what has been happing feel free to get in touch for a chat. Here is what is happening this week...





Cell...
Last Sunday (8th) was our termly Cell Celebration. Normally Cell Groups don't meet after Cell Celebrations, but this week we are breaking that norm and having 1 more cell session before half term.  



The theme for this terms Cell Celebration was 'Telling the World' and it was amazing to see all the cell groups getting together and worshipping God. The Vine did a brilliant job of leading worship, Year 10 cell gave a great talk and all the other cells made some fantastic prayer stations.   


Friday Pathfinders...
Over the last 2 weeks at Younger Pathfinders we have had Takeshi's Castle night and a Scrap Heap Challenge night which have both been really fun (prepare for masses of photos): 







For Older Pathfinders we have had a Classic Sports Day night and a Nerf Wars night over the past 2 weeks: 


This week we will be having a D-I-S-C-O!! We have smoke, we have lazers, we have foam and we have loud music. What's not to love? 


CYFA & Sunday Pathfinders
CYFA and Sunday Pathfinders are both on this week. CYFA will be looking at the very appropriate topic of healing and Sunday Pathfinders will looking at Forgiveness and Grace. 

Half term
Next week will be half term! Whoop whoop! That means that there wont be any groups happening in St. Leonard's youth though :-(. All groups will start back again on the week commencing 23rd February so it wont be too long to wait...

Coming up next week...  After a bit of a false start last week with the bank holiday, we are now back with a bang. There is a fair amount happening in the next few days, but mostly notice that even though there is a bank holiday... that isn't stopping us this time!!!  Cell Groups Our cell celebration is coming up on the 19th of May, so most (but not all!!)  cells will be preparing for that. And we are back!!!!

Wow, what a summer! Soul Survivor was, as it always is, amazing this year. If you were at St. Leonard's on the 7th September you will have heard all about it, but for those of you who weren't: We took 30 young people and 4 leaders with us this year and were joined by a group from Leicester. So all told we had group of 45. Which looked pretty good when we were all in fancy dress. But more than that, it was amazing to see how much God moved people along in their faith, simply because they set aside some time to focus on Him. What was also amazing was that a pretty incredible new brother of mine gave his life to God that week; it is has been brilliant to see what God has been doing in him since. Coming up next week...  You might notice something different about the blog this week, it may be less funny but there will be fewer spelling and grammatical errors as it has been written by somebody who knows how to write. That's right people........Dobbo has arrived! (Don't all cheer at once) Cell Groups  Cell groups are returning this week after a refreshing half term. Years 7, 8, 9, 10,11 and 13 will be doing a session on drugs and alcohol. Year 12 will be doing a brief recap on their alcohol session and then focussing on drugs.   Friday Pathfinders (younger) This week (2nd June) there is no pathfinders due to half term. BOOOOOOOOOO! Next week (9th June) it is obstacle course night. Be prepared to jump, spin and run round our unique obstacle course.
