A blog on a Wednesday, say whaatttt? The weekend away has tired us all out so as you are aware there have been no cell groups this week but Pathfinders is on (read more later). Read on to find out what will be happening next week throughout the Youthwork, and find more information about Soul Survivor.




Cell Groups! 
After a weeks break, cell groups are back! If you are anything like us, you will have completely forgotten the timings so they are below for you. Year 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12/13 will be completing the cell plan on drinking, whilst the year 9s will be completing their cell plan on sex. As an added extra, year 12/13 will be meeting this Friday (15.3.19) and completing the sex plan.

Year 7 - Monday 7:30 - 8:45
Year 8 - Monday 7:00- 8:30
Year 9 - Thursday 7:30 - 8:45 
Year 10 - Monday 5:30 - 7:00
Year 11 - Thursday 5:30 - 6:45
Year 12/13 - Friday 3:30 - 5:00


Younger and Older Friday Pathfinders
This week (15.3.19) younger and older pathfinders will be joining together to enjoy cardboard fortress night. We have gathered a vast quantity of cardboard, and will have all the materials required to build your fortress. Come with creative ideas as they will be judged on sturdiness, size and prettiness. 

 Next week (22.3.19) younger and older pathfinders will be meeting separately but will both be trying to crack codes and puzzles in our very first "Escape room night". 

Sunday Pathfinders

This week Sunday Pathfinders is on and you are continuing to look at the Lords Prayer and focussing on confessing our sins.

CYFA is on this week too, being led by Dobbo and Nick carrying on our series in Mark
Soul Survivor 
If you loved the weekend away (which I'm sure you did, it was awesome), and are in year 9 up to year 13, Soul Survivor is for you. We have already signed on over 35 people for the summer, so don't miss out. If you would like to come please get in contact with Olly or I on the contacts below. We will be in contact regarding a fundraising meeting for those who have already signed up. More information on the trip is below.

Coming up next week...  After a bit of a false start last week with the bank holiday, we are now back with a bang. There is a fair amount happening in the next few days, but mostly notice that even though there is a bank holiday... that isn't stopping us this time!!!  Cell Groups Our cell celebration is coming up on the 19th of May, so most (but not all!!)  cells will be preparing for that. Wow, what a summer! Soul Survivor was, as it always is, amazing this year. If you were at St. Leonard's on the 7th September you will have heard all about it, but for those of you who weren't: We took 30 young people and 4 leaders with us this year and were joined by a group from Leicester. So all told we had group of 45. Which looked pretty good when we were all in fancy dress. But more than that, it was amazing to see how much God moved people along in their faith, simply because they set aside some time to focus on Him. What was also amazing was that a pretty incredible new brother of mine gave his life to God that week; it is has been brilliant to see what God has been doing in him since. Coming up next week...  You might notice something different about the blog this week, it may be less funny but there will be fewer spelling and grammatical errors as it has been written by somebody who knows how to write. That's right people........Dobbo has arrived! (Don't all cheer at once) Cell Groups  Cell groups are returning this week after a refreshing half term. Years 7, 8, 9, 10,11 and 13 will be doing a session on drugs and alcohol. Year 12 will be doing a brief recap on their alcohol session and then focussing on drugs.   Friday Pathfinders (younger) This week (2nd June) there is no pathfinders due to half term. BOOOOOOOOOO! Next week (9th June) it is obstacle course night. Be prepared to jump, spin and run round our unique obstacle course.
